Police Investigate Possible Drowning In Crow Wing County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police are investigating the possible drowning of a 44-year-old male in Clearwater Lake Friday morning.

According to the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office, authorities responded to a call of an adult male missing in Clearwater Lake around 1:37 p.m. Thursday.

The male was with a group of friends who had been out on the water on a pontoon boat.

Police said the group stopped the boat to go swimming, but once in the water the male did not resurface.

Around 5:04 p.m. the sheriff’s office dive team found the male in 20 feet of water.

He was then transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The male is from Sartell, Minn.

Foul play is not suspected.
